Mentorship 101

Mentorship is not therapy, not consulting, not friendship. It is a structured, recurring conversation where an outside eye helps you see what you can't see from inside.

What mentorship is

Regular cadence. Real homework. Honest reflection. A relationship where the mentor's job is not to solve your problem but to sharpen your thinking about it.

What mentorship isn't

It isn't a subject-matter tutor (that's teaching), isn't a mental-health provider (that's therapy), isn't a done-for-you service (that's consulting).

How to spot drift in month two

If the sessions have become chat, if there's no homework, if the cabinet timeline shows no progress — call it. Ally makes it easy to change mentor or change cadence.
